Would You Attend Your Own Funeral?

–  Question from the Reader  –

“Is it true, that people attend their own funeral when they die?”

Believe it or not, many actually attend their own funeral.  This is done as part of saying good bye to everyone they’ve known or at times it’s because they are just amused at what’s been said/thought by the attendees.  Being in a spirit form, they are not too different to who they were when they were alive, personality wise.  In terms of abilities, they can read people’s mind and they will not be restricted by the law of physics, such as being able to walk through walls.

This is the same with animal spirits too, where they may watch and listen to the conversations between their human family and the vet after their passing.

However, there are at times where the soul that passed away are in emotional pain or are in deep thought that years passes without them realising.  Just like a person in deep thought sometimes do not recognise what goes on around them, it’s the same for spirits too.  For them, there are no physical restrictions that it’s harder for them to realise how long they stay in their own world.

This quite often can be tragic, not only from the point of view that they were buried in such emotion for so long, but also from missing the opportunity to say goodbye to their loved ones if decades or even centuries have passed.  They can also miss the opportunity to properly pass over too, as there are limit to the number of times, they get prompted to return to the spirit world.  The gate closes after a while and they require to wait until those with special abilities comes by to manually pass them over.  The longer the spirit stays on earth without their body, the more likely that their memory fades and sometimes they don’t even remember who they are or why they are there.  Fortunately, most do pass over in due course and safely.

In any case, the next time you attend a funeral, just be careful what you say or even think, as the very soul you came to say goodbye maybe standing right next to you with a keen ear!
